Come engage with other like-minded emerging professionals, learn more about how you can get involved with the USGBC EP Hawai'i Chapter, and listen to an informative talk on Green Water Infrastructure. We will briefly highlight some upcoming events as well as discuss our plans for 2015. This is a great opportunity to connect and meet your fellow EPs and learn about how ecologically engineered systems can be integrated into new and existing development projects. There will be time for Q&A at the end and for further green building discussion at Honolulu Beer Works after the event.  

Lauren C. Roth Venu is passionate about developing strategic, innovative solutions to build water resiliency that reflects a site’s dynamic and unique ecology, hydrology and culture.  She is the Founding Principal & President of
Roth Ecological Design Int. LLC (REDI), a Hawai’i-based, water resource planning and design firm that provides comprehensive solutions for integrative, onsite water resource management and green (water) infrastructure for new or existing urban and agricultural developments.  She is also the Co-Founder of the Water Institute for Sustainability Education (WISE) that is developing model curriculum on holistic water resource management for K-12 schools.  She is a frequent lecturer, published author and serves as a leader on various professional committees, task forces and public service roles developing and supporting sustainable water policies for the state of Hawai’i.  Accolades include a Regional Environment Protection Agency (EPA) awarded design project and she was named one of Hawaii's Top Emerging Designers by Pacific Edge Magazine as well as top Forty Under Forty Business Leaders by Pacific Business News.
