Building Operator Certification (BOC Level I)

This Certification program includes BOC 1001: Energy Efficient Operation of Building HVAC Systems (Feb 21 & 28); BOC 1002: Measuring and Benchmarking Energy Performance (Mar 12); BOC 1003: Efficient Lighting Fundamentals (Mar 21); BOC 1004: HVAC Controls Fundamentals (Apr 9); BOC 1005: Indoor Environmental Quality (Apr 21); BOC 1006: Low-Cost Operational Improvements (May 2); and BOC 1009: Building Scoping for Operational Improvement (May 14).

 Employees with two or more years' experience in building operations and maintenance (building operators, building engineers, maintenance supervisors, maintenance workers, facility coordinators, HVAC technicians, electricians, operations supervisors, operations technicians) may qualify for a Hawaii Energy subsidy of $1,400 toward the $1,600 program fee.  USGBC members may attend stand-alone course sections for recognized USGBC CE credit of 8 hours each day.  See for details and APPLY BY FEB 13.
